ATS - Asset Tracking Solution

ScanTrack's Asset Tracking Solution was developed with four simple objectives in mind:

>> What assets do I have?

>> Where are they located?

>> Have they moved since the last stock take?

>> Are any missing?

Assets are uniquely marked according to the user reuirement. This unique marking can range from a durable permanent aluminium tag to a waterproof paper label. The Assets are then captured into predefined categories on the ATS database. This will facilitate a more orderly and meaningfull association of teh asset number with the correct description of the asset during the take-on phase.

                    Simple once-off "Take-on" procedure...

The location and all marked assets in the location are scanned by using a remote PDA device. This will link the assets with the location. The information is uploaded to the server and the database is updated.

                                                         On demand, asset reconciliation...

The location and assets are scanned. Once the information is downloaded to the server, the asset location is matched against the last take-on or stock take procedure that was completed. It is now possible to compare the asset location between the last and the current scan.

Process linked...

Each organisation has different categories of assets that need to managed in different ways. ATS provides the facility to map management processes which are linked to each asset in the system.

                                                      Reports ...

The Reporting functionality will allow the user to view reports such as:

>> Assets that were moved to another location since the last scan

>> Missing assets or assets not seen for a period.

>> New assets that were added since the last scan

>> Assets that have remained at the same location

>> Assets per location

>> Assets per category, sub category or item description

Adaptable ...

The software is adaptable to accomodate additional information the client might require. Some of these can include:

>> Purchase date & Value of Item

>> Maintenance Management control (Assets booked out for maintenance)

>> Assets on loan to other departments / branches

>> Tracking usage of assets per user
